I wonder if you’re thinking “I would love my life… if it was better!
Have you ever stopped to really think about how much of your life is within your control? I was kind of surprised when I really thought about it. Now I’m not saying you can control your life to the point that you’re always happy. I know we have burdens and struggles. But there is truly so much we can do to proactively create a better life for ourselves and those around us.
Today I want to introduce you to a group of beautiful and talented women who are passionate about loving life, and helping you do the same. They work as a team called iBloom. I just reviewed their book on Amazon, and I wanted to share it with you. After you read the review, keep reading, I’ve got a special invitation for you.
Here’s my review:
The first time I saw this book, my initial reaction was somewhat skeptical. I thought it would be more of a pep-talk than anything else. Then, being familiar with some of the authors, I realized that they wouldn’t write a book that wasn’t truly helpful. So, I got my hands on a copy and I am happy to say that my initial speculation was wrong.
It is not a book about changing your attitude and simply choosing to be happy. Written by a team of beautiful godly women, this book is a practical, realistic guide to implementing changes that will make your life more enjoyable.
It’s not a book you sit down and read straight through, though it’s very tempting. Instead, it’s a workbook, intended to be a year-long journey. That’s what makes this book so powerful. The pace, and the workbook approach, allow you to really implement what you’re learning.
You will experience one chapter per week for a year. Each chapter is a quick, easy read, introducing the area of life you’ll be focusing on, followed by a short assignment. The assignment is usually either a challenge (homework to help you apply the topic to your life), journal prompts, or questions for you to answer. It’s not overwhelming, so you won’t quit four chapters in. It’s just enough to get you thinking, provide direction, and give you a structure to work with.
This book is general enough to be useful for any woman, no matter her season in life, yet specific enough to be a valuable, results oriented experience.
